The economy experienced a relatively conducive environment for growth during the second quarter of 2016. Consequently, all the economic sectors recorded positive growths, though at significantly varied magnitudes. Overall, the economy is estimated to have expanded by 6.2 per cent during the second quarter of 2016 compared to 5.9 per cent during the same quarter of 2015.
