BACKGROUND

The Statistical Abstract is an annual publication, produced by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS). The Abstract presents trends of social economic statistics for the past ten years including year 2007. It is more detailed than the Economic Survey and provides Statistical Tables covering all the important aspects of the Kenyan economy. For this reason, the Abstract is an excellent reference source of social economic data, useful for researchers, planners and decision makers.

SOURCES OF DATA FOR THE ABSTRACT

Sources of data for the Statistical Tables therein are obtained from administrative data supplied by various Government Departments, Parastatals, Private Organizations and consequently compiled by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics Staff.

The Bureau wishes to register its appreciation to all those who supplied the data used in the compilation of the 2010 Statistical Abstract.

HOW TO OBTAIN STATISTICAL ABSTRACT 2010

The printed copies of the Abstract can be obtained from Kenya National Bureau of Statistics Library at Herufi House, ground floor, situated on Lt. Tumbo Street.
