These Statistics are collected under the authority of the statistics act (CAP. 1 12), and the statistics (Monthly Survey of Industrial Production), regulations 1977.

SCOPE OF INQUIRY AND THE OBJECTIVE
This inquiry is intended to cover firms located in Kenya, which are engaged in mining, quarrying, Manufacturing, generation and/or distribution of electricity. The objective of the survey is to provide data that will be used together with other available data, for economic planning in the country.

Please enter all commodities produced by your establishment during the period shown in part D.

2. UNIT OF MEASUREMENT
Please enter unit of measurement beside each quantity (the units must be in S1 format eg Kg, Litres etc except in cases where such units may not be applicable eg in production of furniture the units may be given in numbers etc). In future returns, the same unit of measurement should be adhered to strictly in respect of
the quantity of each commodity.

3. VALUE OF PRODUCTION
The value of production of each commodity should be the actual manufacturing cost of that item.
